    The Terminal

    The Terminal (2004)

    Keywords: Legend

Viktor: Amelia, you know what Napoleon give to Josephine when he win Bavaria?

    Amelia: No.

Viktor: I show you. Please, please, sit please. That was gift, Napoleon to Josephine. One thousand fountains.

Amelia: You built this for me?

Viktor: Please sit. Don't get wet. Come on. Oh...It no work. It should shoot, big water up to ceiling.

Amelia: Just tell me the truth. Did you escape from an institution? Are you a criminal? You are living here, Viktor. You're living at Gate 67. I just want to know why.

Viktor: Here. I show you. My father.

Amelia: Viktor, please tell me your father isn't in that peanut can.

Viktor: This is jazz. My father, Dimitat Asenov Navorski, see this photograph in Hungarian newspaper 1958. He say he look at photograph for seven days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...

    Amelia: Who are they?

Viktor: Count Basie, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey, Max Kaminsky. 57 of them all together. After looking at photograph for seven days, my father has idea. He begin to write letters to club, Lickety Split, Snookie's Sugar Bowl. He ask the nuts to write English. Hundreds letters. And then he wait. He wait month, week, year. My father wait 40 years. And they all sign names. One by one. They all write their name and send it to my father. All but one. Benny Golson. Saxophone. My father die before Benny Golson white his name and send to my father. So I make him promise. I keep promise. I promise I will go New York, find Benny Golson, have him write name to put in can.

Amelia: And you've been living here so you could do this for your father?

Viktor: Maybe I think he do it for me. You say you are waiting for something. And I say to you, "Yes, yes. We all wait."

Amelia: What are you waiting for?

Viktor: You. I wait for you.

    Amelia: What?

    ......

Viktor: Your friend do this for me? Why he do this for me?

Amelia: He did it for me. I told you to stay away from me, Viktor. But you didn't understand. I think you were confused.

Viktor: No, I confused about everything. I not confused... Not this. Not this.

Amelia: I'm sorry. I'm running late.

Viktor: Amelia. Why you go? Why you go?

Amelia: You know what Napoleon gave Josephine as a wedding present? It was a gold locket. And on the inside, he made an inscription. "Destiny"

Hold it, Viktor. Take it easy. You see those doors? Those are the entry doors to New York City. To the United States of America. Turn around. It's snowing in the city and you're going to need that. Good luck.

Do you have an appointment?

    Touching the Void

    Touching the Void (2003)

    Keywords: True, Hope, Conquer

The fact you're tied to your partner means that you put a mass of trust in someone else's skill and ability. But at some point, you might be thinking of thanks god, you can't fall here. The rod can be something that rather than save your life, it kill you. If you are gonna do the climbing, at some point, you're gonna have to rely wholly on your partner.

We were actually scared that we would get to an impasse where we couldn't climb any further up. Because we knew we wouldn't yield and get back down where we already climbed. We were climbing ourselves into a trap. And not any that, we could see this 4500-foot-drop is waiting for us.

    The Usual Suspects

    The Usual Suspects

    Cast Away

I knew, somehow that I had to stay alive; somehow I had to keep breathing, even though there was no reason to hope, and all my logic said that I would never see this place again. So that's what I did, stayed alive, I kept breathing. And one day that logic was proved all wrong because the tide came in, gave me a sail. And now here I am, I'm back, ememphous talking to you. I have ice in my glass, and I've lost all over again. I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly, but I'm so grateful that she was witnny on that island. And I know what I have to do now, I gotta keep breathing, because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring.

    - Chuck Noland (Tom Hanks)

  • Dear Red,

If you're reading this, you've gotten out, and if you've come this far, maybe you're willing to come a little further. You remember the name of the town, don't you? I could use a good man to help me get my project on wheels. I'll keep an eye out for you and the chessboard ready.

Remember, Red, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of the things, and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well.

    Your friend

    Andy

"I find I'm so excited that I can barely sit still and whole of thought in my head. I think this excitement only a free man can feel, a free man that starts a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope..."

-Red (Morgan Freeman as a free man)

Get busy living or get busy dying?

These walls are kind of funny like that. First you hate them, and then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That's institutionalizing.

    Mr. and Mrs. Smith

    The Year of the Yao

    The Year of the Yao

    1. The more you are (afraid), the more bigger I get...(saying while breathing, seems really bigger^^)

--- Shaq O'neal, aggressive comments before the first Yao-Shaq game, but I like this big funny guy

    2. There were cameras at his tows, his fingernails, and his head everywhere.

--- Steve Francis, when talking about Yao's popularity

    3. He’s been put in the situation where his guy represents millions and millions of people, and the one thing when you do that, you just want to enjoy yourself, you don't want to feel like your burden to do something.

--- Michael Jordan, when talking about Yao's great stress from China, US media and fans. Good advice from an experienced sailor

    4. Yao…Yaoming...Yao...I can't say it in Chinese!

--- A little boy who wants to get the signature of Yao, in Atlanta, the All-Star game

    5. Yeah it's fun, but with all those people walking around, take this camera away.

--- Kevin Garnett, meet Yao at the All-Star Weekend, of course, saying it jokingly

--- His translator, Collins, when seeing Yao off at the airport, tearful when saying these words, I really appreciate the friendship between Yao and Collins

    7. -JournalistAre you sad that this is over?

-Yao: I mean this is what I'm happy for, and you know, sad means I have to leave home again.

--- After the preseason game in Shanghai, Rockets Vs. Kings

  • Jun6 Flying Puppy 11.Series&Movie
